For more than a decade, Communications Strategy Group (CSG) has worked with New Belgium Brewing. CSG has been a part of the team that has grown New Belgium from 16 to 45 states and become the third largest craft brewer in the U.S.
The craft beer world is rapidly growing and constantly changing. To stay relevant, breweries need to not only make incredible beer, but they also need to amplify their authentic story that resonates with consumers.
CSG has consistently landed New Belgium’s stories in national media outlets, including MSN, Huffington Post, USA Today, Forbes, Washington Post, Bloomberg, and The Today Show, as well as regional and trade outlets and blogs.
Bringing Stories to Life
CSG is an integral part of the New Belgium team working closely with the brewery’s public relations director, local field marketers, sales executives, event teams, and social media team, to extract the stories that best showcase New Belgium’s mission and values and approach to business.
Building Awareness in Trade and National Media
Events are a key component of outreach and branding and CSG plays a pivotal role in generating media interest for those events, including Tour de Fat and Clips Beer & Film Tour.
CSG has generated a tremendous volume of coverage for New Belgium events, its new beer releases, collaborations (including the collaboration with Ben & Jerry’s), and business role model practices. In 2015 alone, CSG continued to deliver year-over-year media coverage securing more than 9,000 media hits, including traditional outlets and blogs, totaling more than 661 million impressions.
